Founded in 2019, Organic Bioactives was born out of a passion for combining cutting-edge science with the pure and potent botanicals found in the unique, pristine environment of New Zealand. The depleted ozone layer exposes New Zealand botanicals to produce elevated levels of bioactive compounds with potent antioxidant properties to deal with the significantly higher levels of UVB light. The high antioxidant properties make for effective skincare and haircare products.

Rongoā Māori refers to the traditional Māori practices in New Zealand. It can involve herbal components with many of the New Zealand native botanicals such as harakeke, kowhai, the famous mānuka and kawakawa. Organic Bioactives fully respect the Mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) and Tikanga (custom) of the Māori people when developing new ingredients inspired by our heritage.
